AFSP Record of Completion – Circular 230 Consent

Circular 230 Consent for the Annual Filing Season Program

For the upcoming tax season, tax preparers who have completed an IRS-approved Annual Filing Season Program course and met all the requirements of the ASFP still have one more task to complete: obtaining their AFSP Record of Completion.

You will receive an email from the IRS that indicates that you have completed the educational requirement for the program.

Dear Tax Professional:
You have met the continuing education requirements for the Internal Revenue Service’s 2015 Annual Filing Season Program.
To participate and receive your 2015 Annual Filing Season Program – Record of Completion, you must log into your PTIN account and consent to the duties and restrictions relating to practice before the IRS in subpart B and section 10.51 of Treasury Department Circular No. 230. Once these steps are complete, you may print your Record Of Completion.
To access the log in page, visit www.irs.gov/ptin. After you log in, select “AFSP Record of Completion – Circular 230 Consent” on the Main Menu to complete the process.
